Albert Wright
Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist
Introduction
Hi, I’m Albert, the founder of Cumbria Clinical Exercise.
When managing a long-term health condition, a major diagnosis, or recovering from a cardiac event, it’s completely normal to feel a loss of trust in your body.
Standard fitness advice often lacks clinical safety, while basic rehabilitation doesn't always go far enough to help you return to the activities that bring you joy—whether that’s walking in the local park, working out, or hiking up Helvellyn.
I created Cumbria Clinical Exercise to bridge that gap. I provide the specialist guidance needed to safely rebuild your confidence and physical capability.
My Approach
I don’t believe in generic workout plans or guessing with your health. Clinical exercise physiology is high-governance healthcare. I take my profession, my clinical standards, and your long-term recovery extraordinarily seriously.
Whether you are navigating cancer prehab/rehab, a cardiac condition, or a metabolic condition like diabetes, my focus is on objective testing, safety, specificity, and progressive overload.
Every assessment and session is tailored to your medical history, physical limitations, and personal goals enabling you to rebuild your confidence and physical resilience.
My Background & Expertise
