Metabolic Health & Chronic Conditions
Is My Service Right For You?
Managing a long-term metabolic condition can feel overwhelming, especially when standard advice is simply to “get more active” without clear guidance on how to do so safely.
This service is designed for adults living with or at risk of:
Type 2 Diabetes & Pre-Diabetes: Improving insulin sensitivity and blood glucose regulation.
Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): Safe, cardiovascular conditioning to reduce arterial stiffness and lower baseline blood pressure.
Elevated Cholesterol & Dyslipidaemia: Targeted aerobic and resistance protocols to improve lipid profiles.
Metabolic Liver Disease (MASLD/NAFLD): Non-alcoholic fatty liver management through tailored exercise and body composition changes.
Metabolic Syndrome & Multi-Morbidity: Managing a combination of high blood pressure, elevated blood sugar, and weight-related challenges.
What to expect
Step 1: Clinical Initial Assessment (60 Mins - £80)
I review your full medical history, blood results (if available), current medications, and functional baseline to map out a clear, safe strategy.
Step 2: Tailored Clinical Sessions (45 mins)
Supervised, 1-to-1 exercise designed specifically to target metabolic function without overloading your joints or leaving you excessively fatigued.
Step 3: Long-Term Progress Tracking
Regular re-assessments to measure improvements in cardiovascular fitness, strength, and overall metabolic markers to report back to your GP if requested.
Why a Clinical Approach Matters
Exercise is a potent intervention for metabolic health, but the type, intensity, duration, and monitoring make all the difference. Standard gym environments rarely monitor clinical parameters or adapt to fluctuating symptoms.
As a Clinical Exercise Physiologist I provide:
Objective Baseline Testing: Comprehensive assessment of your resting blood pressure, heart rate response, metabolic risk markers, and physical capability before you start.
Safe, Continuous Monitoring: In-session tracking of blood pressure and physiological responses to ensure you stay in safe, therapeutic training zones.
Synergy with Your Medical Team: Exercise protocols structured around your current medications (e.g., blood pressure medication, insulin, GLP-1 agonists) to avoid sudden dips in blood sugar or unsafe drops in blood pressure.
Ready to Take Control of Your Health?
You don’t need to navigate this alone or risk pushing too hard in an unmonitored environment.
