Post-Injury Exercise Rehabilitation

Exercise Rehab Beyond Initial Treatment

Physiotherapy is essential for diagnosing acute injuries, managing early pain, and restoring initial movement. Once acute clinical treatment is complete and pain has settled, the focus naturally shifts to building long-term physical capacity.

Cumbria Clinical Exercise provides the next phase.

I deliver supervised, 1-to-1 clinical exercise coaching inside a gym environment—helping you transition from basic mobility to real-world strength, balance, and lasting movement confidence.

My Scope of Practice: I deliver exercise-based rehabilitation. I do not provide acute medical diagnosis, or hands-on manual therapy. If you require diagnostic assessment or acute treatment, I work alongside or refer to local physiotherapists.

Who Is This Service For?

  • Post-Fall Recovery & Balance: Rebuilding leg power, stepping confidence, and balance after a fall or period of bed rest.

  • Post-Physio Strength Progression: Taking over when acute physiotherapy ends to ensure you gain the physical capacity needed to return to full activity.

  • Knee, Hip & Back Conditioning: Progressive loading to manage chronic joint discomfort and rebuild core and lower-body stability.

  • Complex Health & Joint Support: Structured exercise for individuals managing MSK issues alongside other long-term health conditions.

How Clinical Exercise Rehabilitation Works

  1. Comprehensive Initial Assessment (£80)

I review your medical history, discuss your current movement limitations, observe your active functional patterns, and establish baseline strength and balance.

  2. Supervised 1-to-1 Coaching

Every ongoing clinical review is delivered face-to-face inside Train to Thrive. You receive expert oversight throughout your workout, ensuring correct technique, proper exercise selection, and safe load management.

  3. Progressive Capacity Building

We will gradually increase your strength over time—moving you from basic joint stability to real-world tasks like walking comfortably, navigating stairs, and lifting safely.
